Hello everyone.
Although this account is in the name of my mother, it will be updated by me - Liisa K. - her daughter. My mother has started to do wonderful handbags, and I wish to show them to the world, so have taken pictures of them. I thought it would be fun to write where the inspiration came for all of these wonderful bags my mum - S. - has made. So here is the slightly long-ish story...
Me and my mum are both Estonians - a tiny country in Europe, right underneath Finland. For our family it was very ordinary to have some sort of craft work around, from sewing to knitting, but also wood work, DIY, gardening and other projects. It was nice to be encourage not only at school but also at home. Furthermore, I have always felt there was national pride in craft work, and hand made items are still treasured.
